DISTRIBUTION MODEL

MPETM supports multiple distribution models:
Users can preview a segment of the track for free, but need to purchase an encryption key in order to listen to the whole MPETM.

• MPETM can be sponsored by a corporate partner, such that they are free for the first n-thousand downloads. Thereafter, the MPETM will behave as above.
• Users may be forced to view advertising before they can listen to the MPETM.
• And, of course, you can always give MPETMs away for free, but with the added benefits of text, graphics and e-commerce links! Why would you release an MP3 - with no graphics, no links, no text - when you could release an MPETM?
• Or you tell us! The MPETM also contains an embedded player (patent pending), so that anyone can play them, regardless of what software they have on their computer. No need to go to two different locations and download more than you need!

MPE RADIO

The RadioDestiny format is capable of streaming not only audio, but also the graphics, text and e-commerce links associated with an MPETM file.

Destiny Media Technologies offers a service for the hosting of MPE radio stations. Once you have licensed the MPE encoder and created your MPEs, you can upload them to Destiny for the creation of a hosted MPE-enabled radio station.

The advantages of MPE-enabled radio are obvious. Not only are you capturing an audience with your music, but they can also instantly see your album cover, read about the track, and instantly purchase either the MPE or the full CD album online.

REVENUE

The MPETM revenue-sharing model is designed to ensure that everyone gets paid - the artists and labels are rewarded for their content, and websites are given a good incentive to push MPE downloads.

The suggested price point for each track is $0.99, although you may price individual MPEs anywhere from free to as much money as you think you can get for a track!

Gross revenue is divided as follows (See Chart):

50% to the artist and label.
This percentage is split between all rights holders, as defined in each individual MPETM. If your company has an existing rights management or clearing house system, this can be plugged directly into that system.

25% to the distributor (download website)
This is the website the MPETM was downloaded from before purchase. MPEs track their originating websites, so that website will get paid for consumer "pass-along" purchases as well. If you are both the artist and the website, you would be paid both pieces (50% plus 25%)

25% to Destiny Media Technologies
From this percentage, Destiny pays all expenses: Bank and other transaction fees, licensing and bandwidth costs.
